Terms and Conditions

The website https://lockedin.pt is owned and operated by Locked In, LDA, RNAAT Registration No. 1037/2017, VAT number 514410477, located at Rua do Caniço 48, 4520-105 Espargo, Santa Maria da Feira, hereinafter referred to as “the Company”.

The Company reserves the right to amend or modify these Terms and Conditions, including any content on this website, at any time and at its sole discretion without prior notice.

1. General

  • Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to affect your statutory rights.
  • The trademarks and logos displayed on this website are the property of the Company. Third parties may not use them without prior written consent from the Company. Any unauthorized use may constitute an infringement of the relevant owner's rights.
  • These Terms and Conditions and any agreement incorporating them shall be governed by Portuguese law and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.
  • This website may contain links to third-party websites. The operation of such websites is outside the control of the Company and you access them at your own risk. The Company accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage arising from their use.
  • The Company collects and stores your personal data only for as long as necessary to process your booking and does not disclose it to third parties. The Company is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679.
  • Due to the nature of the game, no recording is permitted inside the escape rooms. This includes (but is not limited to) the use of mobile phones, cameras, audio or video recording devices.
  • Participants are expected not to reveal or disclose any details of the games directly or indirectly to the public.
  • The Company will not contact you with marketing offers or promotions unless explicit consent has been given.
  • The Company reserves the right to charge visitors for any intentional damage or damage caused by misuse of force, with a minimum charge of €50. Depending on the item damaged, the cost may be higher.
  • While on our premises you must comply with our rules and regulations, behave in an appropriate manner and cooperate with our staff.
  • The Company does not tolerate any form of bullying, harassment or abusive behaviour towards its staff.

2. Bookings

  • The only language available for entering into an online contract is Portuguese.
  • Only individuals aged 18 or over may make a booking.
  • If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking, you must contact the Company by email at [email protected] subject to the following conditions:
    • Escape Rooms: Bookings may be rescheduled provided the request is made at least 24 hours before the scheduled game time. Requests made less than 24 hours before the start time are not eligible for refund or rescheduling, as the slot is reserved exclusively for the customer.
    • Escape Dinner: Due to the specific nature of this experience, logistical planning and commitments with third parties, rescheduling is only permitted if requested more than 7 days before the scheduled event date. Requests made with less than 7 days' notice cannot be accepted and will not be eligible for refund or rescheduling. In these cases, the experience is valid only for the originally booked date, time and location, similar to purchasing a ticket for an event or show.
  • A booking is only considered valid once it has been processed by the Company. The customer will receive confirmation once the booking has been successfully processed.
  • If the customer wishes to transfer their booking to another person, they must contact the Company by email or telephone at least two hours before the start of the booking. However, the request may be refused at the Company’s discretion.
  • Bookings may not be transferred or resold for commercial purposes. If a booking is transferred or resold in breach of this condition, entry will be refused to the booking holder or any person claiming the right to attend.
  • The customer is fully responsible for entering their details correctly in the online booking form.
  • A booking will be treated as a no-show and entry will be refused if the team arrives 15 minutes or more after the scheduled start time. In such cases, the payment is non-refundable and the booking cannot be modified.
  • If the customer arrives more than 10 minutes after the scheduled start time, the full game duration cannot be guaranteed and the game may be cancelled if there is insufficient time to run it. Please call us if you expect to be late.
  • Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult (18+) inside the escape room. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (18+) to sign the consent form and may be asked by staff to enter the room if necessary.
  • Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused entry and their booking will be treated as a no-show without refund.

3. Price and Payment

  • The price of a game is displayed on the website in the booking section.
  • The price is determined according to the number of participants included in the same booking.
  • Full payment is required before the start of the game.
  • If fewer participants attend than originally booked, the price difference will not be refunded.
  • If additional participants attend beyond those included in the booking, the price difference may be paid upon arrival, up to the maximum capacity of the room.

  • Each participant will receive instructions before the event from a member of the Company’s staff.
  • Once informed of the rules, each participant takes part in the event at their own risk.
  • The Company accepts no responsibility for any personal injury or damage to equipment caused by failure to follow the rules explained before the event or indicated within the escape rooms.
  • Some parts of our games contain physical elements; each participant takes part entirely at their own risk.
  • Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused entry and their booking treated as a no-show without refund.
  • Food and drinks may not be brought into the event.
  • To be admitted, the customer must confirm the full name on the booking and may be asked to confirm the telephone number and email address used for the booking.

6. Website Use and Security

  • These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of this website by any visitor and should be read carefully before use.
  • The Company makes every effort to ensure the information on this website is accurate and up to date.
  • This website is intended for personal, non-commercial use only.
  • You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer or sell any information obtained from this website without the Company’s written consent.
  • You may not link to or use any part of this website for any fraudulent, illegal, defamatory, harmful, obscene or otherwise objectionable purpose.
  • You acknowledge that the Internet is not completely secure. The Company will take all appropriate measures to protect your information.
  • The Company shall not be liable to any person for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of this website.

7. Photos

  • Photos of each team may be taken at the beginning and end of the game.
  • These photos will be stored on the Company’s server (Google Drive).
  • During Escape Dinner events, photos may be taken throughout the challenges.
  • If a participant does not wish to appear in photos, they must inform us in advance either on site or by email at [email protected].
  • Photos may be shared on our social media channels unless a team notifies us otherwise or if the team includes a participant under 16 years of age.
  • If you wish to have a photo removed from any platform, please inform us on site or by email.
